We have arenas and halls that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor events. Skellefteå as a city has long experience of organising large events and competitions. We also have many strong associations that regularly organise major competitions and events. A number of arenas have been expanded and upgraded to fit larger events, and several new buildings are underway.

Skellefteå Kraft Arena

Skellefteå’s modern hockey and event arena is located within walking distance of the city center. The arena has a capacity of just over 6,000 spectators and features a large entrance hall, restaurant, sports bar, VIP boxes, conference rooms, and a press room. It has hosted events such as Melodifestivalen, 10 Mila, and the Swedish Championship Week, as well as several major concerts and trade shows.

Nordanå

Nordanå is the name of Skellefteå’s cultural area, just a stone’s throw from the city center, surrounded by greenery and beautiful nature. It has been home to Trästockfestivalen, Sweden’s largest free festival, for many years. Nordanå has also hosted unforgettable summer concerts featuring artists such as First Aid Kit, Jill Johnson, Bo Kaspers Orkester, Timbuktu, and Seinabo Sey.

Scandic Hotel

Scandic Hotel features a restaurant with seating for 400 guests. With a total of 1,800 square meters of exhibition space and a seating capacity of 600, it offers generous and flexible areas ideal for lectures, trade fairs, exhibitions, and events. In 2019, the venue hosted events such as the Skellefteå Tattoo Festival and the Young Enterprise Fair (UF-mässan).

Eddahallen

Just 10 minutes from Skellefteå city center lies Eddahallen – a wellness hub featuring a swimming complex, relaxation area, gym, sports halls, and café. The venue includes a match arena that accommodates 1,100 people, with 655 fixed seats and additional floor space for more seating. It offers ample room for industry fairs and public stage shows. In 2018, Titanic The Exhibition was hosted here, and in the summer of 2023, the Van Gogh Alive exhibition was held at the venue.

There are two halls here that function both as sports halls and event arenas. The venue is accessible and centrally located in Skellefteå. There are nearby parking facilities and a café with seating for about 100 people. The Skellefteå Floorball Cup is held here annually, along with other sporting events, concerts, and lectures.

Nordanåteatern is an atmospheric theater that has preserved much of its historic charm. It is a full-scale auditorium with seating for 425 people and is frequently used for guest performances and lectures. The main building also houses a smaller stage, Hörsalen, which can be used for lectures and conferences.
