Event Coach and Coordination Service

Welcome to Skellefteå – a rapidly growing event city. Here, we’ll tell you more about the support available from our event coach and how the event coordination service works.

Skellefteå is expanding as an event destination, and at Visit Skellefteå, you’ll find Maria Rautio and Stina Renström as  event coaches. She is available to answer organizers' questions and can guide you to the right contacts. Maria also leads the event coordination group, which includes representatives from the police, fire department, municipality, and more – all to make things easier for you as an organizer.

The Event Coach guides you with

– Which permits are needed for your event (from the police, landowners, county administrative board, etc.)
– Finding the right venue and in-depth knowledge about the location
– Convening the event coordination group if there's a need to meet with police, municipality, fire department, and others
– Contact information for other local stakeholders
– Guidance regarding ticket sales
– Contact channel for Visit Skellefteå’s event calendar
– A sounding board for marketing and communication

Early Coordination in the Planning Phase

Skellefteå’s event coordination group includes representatives from various departments within the municipality, Visit Skellefteå, the fire department, Region Västerbotten, and the police. The goal is to give organizers an early opportunity to meet all parties involved, to ensure that nothing is overlooked or falls between the cracks in the planning process.
